HW A note to a friend descibing where you live


Hi, Lidiya.

Welcome to Number 15, Simonovsky Val Street.

This is a good area and there are lots of thing to do here. There are some restaurants and cafes, for example the restaurant of Japan cuisine is in this building. There are a lot of supermarkets, two supermarkets are along the road to "Proletarskaya" station direction. The supermarkets opposite each other. 

There are three subway station in 10-15 minutes walking. The cinema is near Proletarskaya station, but it is not very cheap. If you want to go shopping You should go to other station, for example Kurskaya - it's not very far. 

And there are some beautiful places for a calm walk: "Krutitsy Metochion" and the river bank. I hope we'll be able to go for walk there together.

Is it normal to get in touch with your friends by phone, email, or Facebook? Of course, it's normal, I think, in our time. Do you have an iPod or mp3 player? What kind? I used to listen to music on an iPod, but know I have an iPad, a Samsung SII, and my PC. Do you often watch DVDs? What kind? I don't watch DVDs, I download films on my PC. Once a month. Do you watch the BBC, CNN or MTV? No, I don't. Do you have any friends from the U K or the USA? I don't have a friend from the UK or the USA, but sometimes I chat with somebody from European countries.

About photos

Do you have a photo as a screen saver on computer or phone? What is it of? Yes. I have a photo as a screen saver on my computer. Generally, it's photo nature. Last time it was photo of sea which my friend took in Turkey when he stayed in the balcony our hotel room. Do you have a favorite photo of yourself as a child? Who took it? Yes, I have. I'm very little on this photo, I don't know how many years me there. My mom took this photo. I was crowling to mom's camera. I was wearing a red blouse. And I had only two teeth as a bunny.
